At the AGM, something like two seasons ago, it was agreed that the WVA would move toward an environment that would reduce the effort required of the league secretary.

Eventually, after each match, one of the teams, probably the home team, will be expected to input the significant data from the score sheet.  The other team would confirm that data, and the result would be published.  Score sheets would still be required by the league secretary, but only for checking.

The first part is now released onto the web site.  You will notice that result reporting has moved about a little under the Mixed Leagues menu item.  The same information is there, but delivered in a different form. The data is now supplied from the new results database.

Later this season we expect to ask some clubs to trial putting results in themselves before making the system mandatory next year.  It would be a good opportunity to volunteer your club for the trial, if you want any say in how the system works.
